Workplace health promotion grants are one-off funding opportunities for employers to build or expand programs that promote worker health and encourage healthy behaviours in the workplace.
OHS can assist employers with their application for the grant and provide corporate wellness solutions that meet the grant guidelines.
Workplace grants are available to employers who have already offered health checks to the majority of workers in the last two years - as a foundation for ongoing workplace health promotion activities.
The WorkHealth program will fund workplace health promotion activities that:
- encourage healthy behaviours and improve the health and well-being of people at work; and
- create a supportive work environment that makes healthy choices easy for workers and encourages them to maintain healthy behaviours in the future
To be eligible to apply for a workplace grant, you must:
- Have offered health checks to the majority of your workers in the past two years
- Be a Victorian business or have Victorian based operations
- Pay a WorkSafe Injury Insurance premium or be an approved WorkSafe self-insurer
Successful workplace health promotions programs are designed around the needs of workers and the goals of the business - so no two programs will be the same. To develop a program an employer may be guided by workforce needs or potentially informed by previous health checks which flag health risks.
