The Working Attitudes Toward Corporate Health (WATCH) program is a musculoskeletal and health education awareness package aimed at educating employees on self ergonomic assessment and how to apply the theory of workstation set up to changing environments. The program focuses on how employees interact with their working environment and how these interactions can be improved as to mitigate muscular aches and pains (such as back pain, RSI and eye strain) so that wellbeing is maximised.
This is achieved through a combination of workplace training, postural analysis and a 'train the trainer' sustainability components. As an additional service, a brief individual workstation review is performed by the facilitator after the training to ensure employees' implement the training principles.
Advantages of the W.A.T.C.H.™ Program compared to 1on1 ergonomic assessments are:
Individuals are educated in workstation setup hence, the ability and understanding to transfer this knowledge to alternative locations.
Economically this package provides a more in depth education and awareness component for a cheaper bottom line than that of traditional 1on1 ergonomic assessments.
Leaders are identified and trained to take daily stretching & mobilisation activities within the workplace.
Engagement programs empower employees to assume an active approach to their health creating a strong and sustainable approach to optimal wellness.
Educates individuals on how to prevent injuries in all situations reducing medical costs and time lost to decreased productivity associated with pain and discomfort.
